Oh McCall's 6069, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Okay, I'm not actually going to count--I'll just tell you: comfortable, stylish, and easy to sew. The trifecta!
I made a size 12 and added one inch in length to the bodice and 5.5 inches in length to the skirt. Pretty easy to sew although I did have a little trouble figuring out the placement of the back strap. The fabric is a fun ITY knit from Fabric Mart. I think I'll make this again, maybe in this fabric from Gorgeous Fabrics:
Shoe love: These are the shoes I'm wearing today. French Sole ballet flats, quilted gold with silver toe caps. These shoes are versatile and very comfortable!

Another pretty dress! And again it matches the shoes. Sky blue shoes wouldn't seem like work-horse shoes, but these are turning out to go with everything, yea!
ReplyDeleteI love how the belt brings it all together. It's all in the details :)
ReplyDeleteLovely Dress! I think I have this pattern in the stash. I may have to go dig it out and make it. As always, your shoes are adorable. :]
ReplyDeleteHi Karin, Lindsey, and Rebecca ~ Thanks so much for your comments! I seem to be on a blue kick right now; would you believe I have another pair of sky blue shoes--but in a slingback style? (I might have a problem!)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, I agree that the belt pulls it together--it really helps to define the waist.
Very, very nice. That does look like such an easy dress to wear.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this very stylish dress and I LOVE the gorgeous fabric!
ReplyDeleteHey Peggy, I want to see what you're creating! Where's that backyard BBQ dress?? :)
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful knit dress. The blue shoes are perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad I just picked this pattern up as your dress is great! And I LOVE those blue shoes.
ReplyDeleteHello Peggy, thanks for dropping by blog , that was really nice. I also sewed McCalls 2401 this year after having it in my stash for ages ! I love all your creations so far. Hope to see some new posts when you can . Janine
